Terms of service
Effective 11 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Idea Pop LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Idea Pop”, “we”, “us”). They cover honorbar.app, the Honor Bar waitlist and the Honor Bar guest service at participating hotels (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, including by joining the waitlist, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
1. Charges are made by the hotel
- Honor Bar lets hotel guests charge items to their room. The hotel sells the items, sets prices and taxes, and bills you under its own terms. Idea Pop is not the seller and does not take payment.
- Questions or disputes about a charge, the items or your bill go to the hotel. We’ll help the hotel look into it.
- Prices and items shown come from the hotel’s system. We aren’t responsible for errors in the hotel’s information.
2. Only charge your own room
- You may use Honor Bar only for a room you’re registered to stay in, or with the permission of the guest who is.
- Charging a room that isn’t yours, or trying to get around the room check, is prohibited and may be fraud. We may share information with the hotel and authorities about it.
- You’re responsible for charges made from your phone while it’s verified for your room. Keep it secure and tell the hotel at once if you think someone else has used it.
3. Text messages
Program: Honor Bar codes and receipts. When you ask for a code by text, you agree to receive text messages from Honor Bar for that stay.
- Frequency: one message for each code you request, plus one receipt for each charge if receipts are sent by text. Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to stop messages. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@honorbar.app.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We don’t share mobile numbers or text-message opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
4. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist doesn’t create any obligation for you or for us. We may change, delay or stop Honor Bar or the waitlist at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the Service. For example, don’t:
- break the law or anyone’s rights;
- try to get into accounts, rooms or systems that aren’t yours;
- interfere with, overload, probe or reverse engineer the Service;
- use bots or scripts against the Service, or get around its bot checks or limits;
- submit false information.
We may suspend or end access to the Service for anyone who breaks these terms.
6. Our property
The Service, including its software, design and the Honor Bar name, belongs to Idea Pop or its licensors. These terms don’t give you any rights to it beyond using the Service as offered.
7. Other services
The Service relies on the hotel’s systems and on our service providers. We aren’t responsible for services we don’t control, including the hotel’s property management system.
8. No warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available.
9. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows: Idea Pop will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Guests pay the hotel, not us. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
10. Indemnity
If you misuse the Service or break these terms, you agree to defend and hold Idea Pop harmless from the resulting claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees.
11. Disputes
Texas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, contact us at hello@honorbar.app and give us 30 days to try to resolve it.
Any dispute that isn’t resolved will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either side may bring an individual claim in small claims court. You and Idea Pop each waive the right to a jury trial and to take part in a class or representative action.
12. General
- We may update these terms. We’ll change the effective date, and the new terms apply from then on. Continuing to use the Service means you accept them.
- If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
- Not enforcing a term isn’t a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
- These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. A hotel’s own terms govern your stay and your bill.
